Our journey began in the early 1960s when our founder, Zülbahar Batmaz, took his first steps into the textile industry as an apprentice. Between 1960 and 1979—a time when bobbin dyeing was not yet practiced in Turkey—Zülbahar Batmaz worked tirelessly at hank dyeing kettles. In a short time, he earned a reputation as the master who dyed silk and viscose better than anyone else in Bursa.
In 1979, driven by the desire to combine his experience with his own vision, our founder laid the foundations of our first factory in Kestel. Thus, under the name Batmaz Tekstil, we began operating as a hank silk dyehouse, laying the groundwork for what would become a full-fledged textile dyeing facility.
By 1991, under the leadership of the second generation, Remzi Batmaz, we made our first foray into fabric production with seven looms imported from Italy. While adapting to the evolving needs of the industry, we took a significant step in 2004 by launching bobbin dyeing and entering the export market. In 2013, with additional investments, we established our dyeing and finishing department and became an integrated facility, increasing Batmaz Tekstil’s annual capacity to 6,000,000 meters.
Looking back at the path we’ve traveled, we see that our humble beginnings in a small local workshop have led us to become a global supplier offering original collections to leading brands that shape European and world fashion.
Today, we successfully export 80% of our production capacity to highly competitive markets such as Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, France, Japan, Spain, the USA, Canada, Australia, Greece, and Russia.
At Batmaz Tekstil, we continue to walk the same path with the same passion we had when we took our first steps—with the goal of creating quality fabrics.
We sincerely thank all our employees and customers who have walked this journey with us, and we promise to continue forward with the same principles and ever-evolving vision.
